Virginia Prior, L. Ac., DAOM, MTOM, Dipl. Ac.

Virginia received her B.A. in Anthropology and Sociology from Ohio Wesleyan University, going on to work with the Department of Cardiology, Biostatistics & Epidemiology on clinical trials as a Research Coordinator at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Subsequently, with a desire to pursue additional perspectives and approaches to health and healing, and wanting to work within the scope of Integrative Medicine, Virginia obtained a Masters Degree in Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine from the top-ranked Yo San University in Los Angeles, California. During her studies, Virginia served as an intern at the Being Alive Clinic in Hollywood, CA where she treated patients with HIV/AIDS, and was chosen for a fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Virginia combines her knowledge of acupuncture, herbs, qi gong and nutrition to skillfully treat a myriad of disorders, alone or in conjunction with western pharmaceuticals, to help men, women and children lead fully functioning, self-actualized lives.
In addition to treating patients at Stillpoint, Virginia is a faculty member at Yo San University, a researcher and lecturer, fully dedicated to medicine and to integrating both traditional and current approaches. Her passion for helping others enables her to successfully facilitate within her patients deep healing and attainment of radiant health and vitality.
Kimberly Reid, L. Ac., MTOM
Kimberly is a board-certified Acupuncturist in the state of California, having received her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and having graduated with honors from Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Her specialties include internal medicine, pediatrics, dermatology, fertility and women’s health, and pain management. She's also gifted at working with patients dealing with issues of anxiety, stress and depression or other psycho-emotional imbalances. In addition to practicing at Stillpoint, she also currently participates in the Genesee Center's Acupuncture Program for Domestic Violence Intervention. Reid has held internships at the Venice Family Clinic and the Venice Pain Clinic, as well as interning directly under fertility specialist Dr. Daoshing Ni.
Kimberly enjoys working with men, women and children of all ages, and strives to educate patients and support the body’s intelligence with the tools of Chinese medicine. This includes placing importance on the use of herbs, proper nutrition and qi gong. Her goal is to help eliminate stressors and blocks so that the body is rejuvenated and can regain its natural balance. And for those seeking treatment other than acupuncture, Reid also practices acupressure, tui-na (Chinese medical massage) and medical qi-gong. She encourages those who have not yet experienced Chinese medicine to come experience its benefits. She practices Yoga and is a trained Yoga instructor. Reid also speaks French, Swiss-German, German and Basic Spanish.
Joe Curcio, L. Ac., MTOM, Dipl. Ac.
Joe Curcio, L. Ac. is a nationally board-certified and California state licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. Joe received his training in Oriental Medicine at one of the nation’s leading institutions, Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, California, graduating with highest honors. This five academic year program of study included instruction in acupuncture, herbal medicine, and modern biomedicine. In addition to completing a two year clinical internship at the college clinic, Joe was chosen to participate in an externship at both the L.A. Free Clinic as well as the Daniel Freeman Hospital.
After completing his training, Joe founded Stillpoint Acupuncture and Herbs in 2002. Mr. Curcio, also a certified yoga instructor since 1999, stresses the importance of establishing and maintaining an appropriate diet and lifestyle in order to achieve radiant health. Therefore, he not only provides acupuncture, craniosacral unwinding, and herbal therapy to patients, but also offers nutritional counseling, awareness practices and customized exercise sequences that focus on the patient’s specific health concerns. Joe is widely recognized by his patients and students for his calming and gentle presence.
